July 2014 - update - confirmation of eradication of Tobacco ringspot virus (TRSV) in the Netherlands

Since the last incidental finding of TRSV on Phlox subulata, reported in November 2010, measures have been imposed and no further findings have been recorded. The outbreak is eradicated. Furthermore annual specific surveys in other crops, confirm absence of TRSV. The specific survey also targets Gladiolus, Hemerocallis, Hosta, Lilium, Tulipa and other spring flowering plants.
