Update risk countries: additional C&D transport equipment Hungary no longer mandatory
Today, the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) updated the EU list with risk countries and mandatory additional cleaning and disinfection (2nd C&D) of transport equipment for poultry and hatching eggs.
The additional C&D is no longer mandatory for transport vehicles for poultry [1] or hatching eggs which return or enter from Hungary to the Netherlands.
This C&D requirement still applies to vehicles entering or coming from the following EU risk countries:
- Bulgaria
- Denmark
- Germany
- France
- Italy
- Croatia
- Norway
- Poland
- Romania
- Slovakia
- Czech Republic
In addition this C&D requirement applies to all countries outside the EU, so called third countries.
[1] Poultry: chicken (Gallus gallus domesticus), birds belonging to the order of ducks (Anseriformes), the family of ostriches (Struthionidae), emus (Dromaiidae) and nandus (Rheidae) and for consumption kept pigeons (Colombia livia).
