Exporting plants, animals or products to the United Kingdom
Which rules apply to you depends on the products you are exporting to the United Kingdom. In any case, you should be aware that there are additional checks when exporting goods to the United Kingdom.
Exporting animals and animal products
If you are exporting live animals, you will need an export certificate. This also applies to the animal products listed on the website for the United Kingdom’s Border Operating Model.

Exporting plants and plant-based materials
If you will be exporting certain plants or plant-based materials to the United Kingdom, you will need a phytosanitary certificate. You can read exactly which products this applies to in the Border Operating Model.

Exporting non-animal foodstuffs
Even if you are exporting non-animal foodstuffs, there are certain additional checks and changes in procedure that you should take into account.
