Import and export of packaging wood after Brexit
If you use packaging wood when sending such items as machinery parts, electronic equipment or consumer goods, then please avoid taking any risk in your dealings with the United Kingdom.
Only use packaging wood (such as pallets, wooden crates, boxes, cable reel and dunnage to secure cargo) that has been treated to protect it from harmful organisms and marked in line with the ISPM 15 international standard.
Why does packaging wood have to be treated and marked?
Treating and marking packaging wood prevents harmful organisms such as the Asian long-horned beetle from entering the European Union and spreading.

The EU has drawn up a guidance document on importing packaging wood after Brexit.
