Systems for import of animals and goods subject to official controls

National systems

Prior notification of consignments animals and goods, that are subject to official controls at border control posts and that are entering the Union via a border control post in the Netherlands, is required to be done by submitting an electronic Common Health Entry Document (CHED) to the NVWA. For this only the national systems of the NVWA can be used.

National systems and TRACES

During 2020, all CHEDs of consignments animals and goods that are subject to official controls at border control posts and that are entering the Union via a border control post in the Netherlands are registered automatically by the NVWA in TRACES.
